Expanded learning opportunities such as after-school programs can reap huge benefits from programs such as Classworks that provide individual attention to each child enrolled in the program. Based upon the specific needs of your afterschool program, Classworks will implement a proven-solution with variety, flexibility, and stimulation for each student’s growth. No matter what your after-school schedule is like, Classworks Reporting provides a great communication tool between multiple teachers.
Customized per state, Classworks’ RtI Model offers a multi-tiered program of assessment, identification, and appropriate instruction for all students. Tier I, which includes students who are performing "on-grade level," through Tier IV, which assigns Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each student, is fully addressed and explained in this proven model.
The RTI Model from Curriculum Advantage was developed with educators and RTI specialists. For more information on the Curriculum Advantage model, a research paper, "Classworks and RtI - White Paper" by Dr. Cynthia Millikin, is available. Dr. Millikin is an independent researcher, having specialized in special education for the past 30 years.

“Education has been notorious for resisting change. But yet the challenge is to prepare kids for the 21st century. One is how to meet the state testing requirements for every student. And that question is how to use technology to assist not only students in learning but the teachers in the instructional process.
Classworks is a total instructional support package because it does address not only the needs of the district, but the needs of the individual teachers and students.” -- Freddie Williamson, Superintendent, Hoke County Schools

With the challenge High Schools are faced to reduce dropout numbers, Classworks has created the Preparing All Students for Success Model (PASS) Model/ Solution that focuses on prevention and retention. PASS gives educators the necessary tools to provide state specific instruction, expand learning options, intensity learning and intervene early and often. Students receive custom designed instruction to help them success and graduate.
Key components of the PASS model include:
- Early identification of risk
- Intervention through individualized, differentiated instruction
- Building block skills as a foundation for HS success
- Targeted, accelerated instruction
- Student engagement and active participation in learning
- Success in gateway courses — English I, Algebra I, Geometry
- Advancement through critical exit exam and end-of-course test milestones

Classworks units are based on state standards and offer interactive instruction through a multi-sensory approach that includes voice, pop-up text, audio support, video, photographs, artist drawings, and animated clips, perfect as a supplement to textbooks. This comprehensive K-12 program is ideal for all students, regardless if they are above-, below-, or on-grade level.
Each Classworks state edition includes instruction aligned to state standards and curriculum, with great depth and breadth at each grade level and skill area. Further, each state edition is also aligned to state tests — high-stakes, EOG and EOC, exit exams — to provide a more targeted instructional pathway focused on those objectives tested.
