Classworks is seeking an experienced educator looking to become a sales professional with the motivation to exceed revenue expectations and drive rapid and sustainable growth in their assigned territory. The Sales Executive will spend the majority of the role in field developing and cultivating prospects, moving them through the sales process and closing new business.

  • 5+ years of sales experience OR 10+ years of educational experience (classroom & admin)
  • Ability to successfully implement a sales strategy including  prospecting, building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle; proposing, presenting and discussing solutions with district and site level leadership decision-makers
  • Strong networking, relationship-building, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Familiarity with education technology or software as a service solutions
  • Track record of successful achievement of assigned quotas
  • Ability to manage a pipeline of 50+ accounts at any given time
  • Demonstration of strong ability with technology
  • Strong understanding of enterprise software sales cycles and dealing with top decision makers is a plus
  • Ability to present Classworks as a solution that meets educational goals based on discussions with prospective customers
  • Willingness to work across the internal teams to close deals that meet business goals
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Position is a remote work position supporting Northern Florida and Southern Georgia (Ocala, FL to Macon, GA)
  • Position requires 75% travel
  • Position provides robust base salary combined with generous commission structure


  • Exceed revenue objectives within your assigned region.
  • Make prospecting an integral part of your regular routine ensuring new prospects are being added to the sales funnel on an ongoing basis
  • Manage a complex, enterprise solution sale with a 3 month to 9 month purchasing cycle
  • Move the sale through the entire sales process actively engaging other Classworks team members as necessary to ensure success
  • Be well informed about current industry trends and be able to talk intelligently about the K-8 education industry in the assigned area/region
  • Quickly learn and understand the education technology market, the buying personas, how Classworks fits in, and the education purchasing process
  • Effectively use the sales CRM tool to enter all sales information into this system
  • Maximize conferences to meet potential customers, nurture relationships, generate leads, and close business
  • Prepare and deliver engaging and effective sales presentations
  • Assist in contract negotiations
  • Build and manage a quantifiable 12-month sales pipeline
  • Work with marketing to effectively deploy content and collateral resources at appropriate stages in the sales cycle to advance the sales process
