With OneRoster, Classworks Provides Districts with a Standards-Based Approach to Rostering

Classworks® by Curriculum Advantage, Inc., a leader in digital instruction, achieved IMS Global® Conformance Certification for the OneRosterTM v1.1 standard. Classworks, already certified by IMS Global for the LTI v1.1 specification, is proud to be one of the first providers to complete conformance certification for this newly released version of the popular OneRoster specification.

OneRoster, an interoperability standard developed by the IMS Global Learning Consortium, allows districts and technology partners, like Classworks, to seamlessly integrate and update student rosters. Using one standard format for rostering saves time and increases efficiency for school districts previously challenged with manually uploading rosters into a variety of digital resources.

"We are pleased that Classworks has achieved OneRoster v1.1 conformance certification for its instructional solution," said Rob Abel, CEO of IMS Global. "Classworks' commitment to interoperability is commendable. The continued support of OneRoster will help districts accelerate their transition to digital to support personalized learning." Classworks’ User Synchronization Service, using the OneRoster standard, automatically provisions users, classes, and group enrollment information based on data in a district’s student information system.

“As early adopters of IMS Global’s Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI®) standards, we are committed to making Classworks as open and accessible as possible to our school and district partners,” explains Classworks Sr. Vice President of Technology and Development, Jerry Henley. “Developing to the OneRoster v1.1 standard removes the complexity of class roster imports and supports partners with one standards-based data format.”
