For Immediate Release:
December 10, 2020 -- Duluth, GA – Curriculum Advantage, Inc, known for providing best-in-class online instruction and individualized learning, today announced a non-exclusive integration between Pearson’s aimsweb®Plus reading and math assessment and Classworks® suite of instruction. The integration gives teachers an efficient, cohesive resource to individualize learning while also reducing the testing burden.
Once a data sharing agreement is signed by customers, aimswebPlus enables a seamless data flow of assessment data from aimswebPlus' assessment platform into Classworks suite of instruction.
“Teachers are at the heart of everything we do! Our goal is to provide them the tools to more easily identify where students are ready to learn and provide them with exactly what they need to grow,” says Melissa Sinunu, Classworks President and COO. “The power of Classworks individualized instruction combined with the high-quality assessment and learning analytics provided by aimswebPlus enables teachers to effectively assess and address learning gaps and accelerate students’ path to grade-level proficiency,”
The integration between aimswebPlus and Classworks leverages cutting-edge interoperability to allow assignments to be automatically generated and assigned to students. Classworks analyzes aimswebPlus assessment results and delivers customized lessons for students based on that data, eliminating the need for an additional assessment. Teachers don’t need to spend time searching for vetted, standards-based instruction to meet the diverse learning needs in the classroom. This gives time back to teachers so more of it can be focused on instruction and the added responsibilities that come with synchronous and asynchronous learning environments this year. Students can immediately engage in Classworks standards-based instruction matched to their needs and work on lessons wherever they are learning.
Lorri Jensen, Pearson Senior Product Manager says, “we are excited to offer our customers the ability to use Classworks and aimswebPlus together via a seamless integration. This integration helps teachers know what to focus on next for their students and classroom.”
“As a district with both Classworks and aimswebPlus, we’re very excited about the possibilities of this integration for our students and teachers. Pairing the aimswebPlus results with Classworks instruction provides our teachers with tools to help guide their identification of skills gaps and acceleration opportunities for their students,” says Melvin Preyer, Director of Curriculum and Teacher Development for Monroe County Schools, Alabama. “Particularly this school year, providing students with relevant instruction to quickly close gaps and giving teachers back the time to focus on instruction is extremely valuable. We are looking forward to the great things ahead with this integration!
